Beacon Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia, is more than just a place of worship. Our church is dedicated to ministering to people of all ages and offering a nurturing environment to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Pastor
Pastor Jeremy Raby became our pastor in March of 2024. His love and vision for Beacon Baptist Church has been evident since his arrival. Good sound preaching, a heart for this church and community, and a burden for young people are qualities that inspire followship. He was saved in 1986 at Mt. Sheba Baptist Church in Weaverville NC. God called him into the ministry at 16 years of age. He pastored in West Virginia for 17 years and we look forward to many years here in Salem VA. He and his dear wife Vera as well as their children have become welcome additions to our church. We invite you to come out and meet them at Beacon Baptist Church
Beacon Baptist Church began as a small group of devoted individuals eager to serve our local community in Salem, Virginia. Our Pastor driven by a passion for faith and education, envisioned a place where everyone, from children to adults, could find spiritual growth. We've expanded our services to include a K-12 Christian School, Sunday School classes, and resuming bus routes ensures that our young ones receive an education enriched with Christian values. Our commitment to worship, community evangelism, and education is what sets us apart. We believe in fostering a loving, supportive environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued. As a close-knit congregation, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our members and the broader community.
